Our beautiful Drummer is one of our gorgeous boys looking for that special forever home.

Drummer is a very intelligent, loyal, extremely loving lad. He will always greet you with a waggy tail and normally a toy in his mouth. Drummer absolutely loves his toys, having a few favourites like ‘Mr Fox’ and ‘Piggy’. He has to pick up whichever toy is closest whenever he leaves his kennel. 
 He does have a deaf ear when he picks up a scent and is an avid sniffer of the ground. Drummer enjoys regular offsite walks with one of our volunteers where he has learnt to start to ignore squirrels and bunnies as best as he can. Drummer is trained to wear a head collars when walking so that he can easily be walked if he gets excited by a scent or squirrel. Drummer is also a large boy and very strong so we have found the head collar gives us more control too. Being a Shepard X he loves to engage with you and has quickly picked up commands and is a good listener when out too. 

He loves toys, playtime and having a fuss. He is a big softie. He has no guarding instinct at all when it comes to toys or food.

 

We feel a lovely rural/semi rural home would suit Drummer, either as an only dog or with another friendly female dog. He loves playing with other dogs, but as he is very strong he can be a little rough if allowed. When he’s told off by the other dogs he will back off. His favourite habit is bopping dogs with his big nose. So he would need to live a confident girl who is happy to tell him when he’s being a bit rude.

Drummer is such a favourite here at Sun Valley, he has the most loving and endearing temperament.

Because of his GSD mix he is extremely loyal and likes to be stimulated. His hound part gives him his chilled out sleepy side too.

Drummer is a approximately 7 years old. He will be the perfect companion for your weekend adventures or your movie night chill out. This fabulous boy will make the perfect addition to the right family!
