Meet Noble, the latest lovely lurcher to join the family!

Noble came to us from the pound as an extremely timid, nervous little boy. He was a stray for a while and it took the dog warden weeks to be able to catch him; this is a dog that clearly had a very difficult start to his life. Noble was so scared when he came to us, did not know how to accept our affection, and could not be touched. The Sun Valley magic worked quickly on him though, and within a day or two we started to see his true, amazing little personality start to shine through. Noble started to gladly accept fuss and attention, and then went out of his way to seek it out. He started to take treats off us, and then even would snuggle in his bed with our team members. He’s come on leaps and bounds already during his short stay here, and will only continue to blossom as he learns that people aren’t so scary after all! The real difference in Noble came when we paired him up with another lurcher. Immediately, Noble’s true self started to really show, and he was playing and racing around with Bertie as if they’ve known each other all of their lives. They now currently share a kennel with each other and they couldn’t be happier.

Noble loves other dogs and really gets his confidence from them, so a home with an existing dog that can show him the ropes would be ideal. We think that Noble can live with most breeds, and if you have a young, playful dog that can keep up with an energetic lurcher, that’d be even better!

Noble is getting better by the day, and is showing himself to be a really gorgeous little character. If you’re interested in Noble, please be aware that if you’re lucky enough to adopt him, he will probably revert back to his shy self initially and will need to be given the space and time to decompress and get used to his new life with you. With a bit of patience, love (and roast chicken) you will uncover a really, really sweet, gentle and loving guy. Noble could live with older, dog savvy kids that understand that he needs time to adjust and probably won’t hit the ground running in his new life. He’ll need to be given the space to chill out and learn to trust his new people, just like he did so amazingly with us.

If you’re an active home that can keep up with a young, energetic lurcher, and want a dog to nurture and show that world can be kind, Noble would be a lovely dog to consider. He loves his food and treats, which will make him fun to train! We do also think in time as his confidence builds, you’ll be able to go on all the adventures, lazy pub days and snuggle days on the sofa that you could dream of.

Noble so deserves to find his new family of his dreams, and we (and especially Noble) can’t wait to meet you!
