Everyone, meet Lola!
Lola is a very, very special girl who we have had the absolute joy of looking after these last couple of months. She came to us in an absolute state, in desperate need of TLC after being so badly let down by humans before coming here. Lola had 2 fractured hips that were left to heal on there own, so they inevitably did not heal correctly. Not only that, she was made to have puppies with 2 fractured hips. Once she’d had the puppies she was then discarded, in pain and incredibly underweight. We knew when she came to us that she had a long road to recovery ahead of her, but what we didn’t know was how amazingly she would handle her treatment! She has been nothing but perfect; she is truly one of a kind. Lola has had a double hip replacement, which has healed fantastically. She’s also put on a whopping 15kg since becoming a Sun Valley gal!
We’ve had to be strict with Lola during her stay here, not allowing her to run and really keeping her calm while she recovered from her massive operation. She has taken everything in her stride, and has honestly been the most perfect patient. She’s had a pretty boring couple of months here while we make sure that her recovery is as seamless as possible, and she has handled everything like an absolute lady, she doesn’t whine, doesn’t complain, and has happily chilled out in her kennel keeping herself entertained while we had her on strict bed rest. This girl is truly perfect and honestly such a special dog.
She’s recovered amazingly, and is now free to have a little run around in our yard, which she’s been LOVING! The new found bit of freedom has given her a new lease of life and she’s just been getting happier and lovelier by the day.
Lola loves other dogs and can live with a calm dog that doesn’t want to race around with her and potentially damage her hip again.
She can live with children and would make an absolutely amazing family pet.
Lola was a very expensive little lady to rehabilitate, so if any of you lovely people have the means to donate towards her care we would be forever grateful.
