Meet Dougal, an absolute goon of a greyhound who has absolutely stolen our hearts here at Sun Valley. 

Occasionally, we’ll get a greyhound in who breaks the rules of what you’d expect a greyhound to be like, and Dougal is one of those lads. He is so funny, full of life and affection and just lives life to the full. He’s a big, bouncy lad with a lot of personality, so families with young children may not be suitable for Dougal, just because there’s a chance of getting knocked over. If you have older, dog confident children who want a goofy dog to play and grow up with, you won’t get much more perfect than our Dougal. 

He’s been off site for walks around our forest, and he absolutely loves it. He lives happily with his kennel mate Macy, and he’s the boisterous Yin to Macy’s calm, more shy Yang. We think he’d love a dog companion to knock about with, but provided the home he goes to is up for entertaining our little prince with walks, fun and adventures, he can be an only dog. 

Dogs like Dougal who are more energetic when they’re in kennels do actually tend to mellow out quite a lot when they’re in a home, so there’s always a chance that you’ll take him home and he’ll turn into a stereotypical couch potato greyhound after a couple of days. Either way, Dougal is an absolute joy and is more than ready to find his forever family!
