Meet Clyde! An absolutely adorable, quiet, gentle giant who joined the Sun Valley family this summer. 

Clyde is an older boy, who we’re guessing is around 8-10 years old, sadly he came with absolutely no information as he was found as a stray, so we can only guess his age.  

This gorgeous boy came to us in a bad way, and its obvious his previous life wasn’t too kind to him. He was matted, with skin issues and battle scars from what we assume was from being used for badger hunting. We also did find a few tumours on the poor boy, so we took him to the vets where he got a full check up, dental, biopsy and tumour removal on some of his smaller lumps that could be easily removed. 

The biopsy results thankfully told us that Clyde only has benign tumours, so our gorgeous boy has a clean bill of health and is ready for his new home. One of his lumps is quite big, and would be too difficult to heal if it was to be removed, so we decided that the vets shouldn’t remove it. He does still have his big lump on his side, but it’ll cause him absolutely no issues and can thankfully just be left alone. 

Despite his tough life and health issues that he’s endured he is genuinely the most gentle, kind dog you could ever meet, and everyone at SV is so, so in love with him. He’s absolutely fantastic with other dogs, loves people, and in general is an absolute joy and is so easy to care for. He is currently kennelled with another senior female, and he is the most gentle, easy going partner to her. We’d love to home him to someone with another dog, but really, he’s so easy going and calm that he could happily be an only dog in a home with people who will love and adore him. Clyde is just an absolute dream and a complete gentleman. 

We just want to find Clyde a home where he will be loved and cherished, and get to experience a stable and caring home life for him to enjoy his senior years in.
