Everybody, meet Benson!

Benson is our little brindle cutie who recently joined the gang.

Benson came in with a female greyhound, and shared his kennel with her absolutely beautifully. He really did enjoy the company and is a little upset now that she’s gone. We think he’d do best in a home with another dog in the house, as he really does get so much enrichment and joy from having another dog to play with! Benson is also a hugeee velcro dog, he is super affectionate and will follow staff around as they work – it’s extremely cute and endearing but that leaves the potential for separation anxiety once he goes home, so having another dog in the house will help that a lot.

Benson has been on off site walks and we had glowing reports. He does have a prey drive with wildlife, but that’s to be expected from a retired racer!  

Benson has met a few kids and really liked them, so could absolutely live with children. He would make a fabulous family pet and we think he’d be a dog that would love to come on little family adventures to coffee shops, pubs, the beach etc.

Benson really is the biggest sweet heart with an absolute heart of gold. In the right hands this boy will be such a fantastic companion. We can’t wait for this little softy to find his forever sofa!
