Everyone, meet Nigel!

Nigel came to us from the pound so like most lurchers that come in to our care, we really don’t know much about his start in life. What we do know is that Nigel is a gorgeous, friendly, sensitive lad who is now more than ready to find his family. Nigel is kennelled with another male lurcher and they get along famously, his friend is more confident and outgoing than Nigel, so Nigel is fine with taking the back seat and letting the attention come to him. When he gets a chance to get some cuddles for himself, he really does lap up the attention and is a really nice, affectionate boy.

Nigel is ever so slightly shy and more observant than your average young lurcher, he likes to figure you out first and know that you won’t hurt him and once he does he’s all yours! He’d do well with another dog in the home to show him the ropes but can live as an only dog in the right home. 

He does like to play rough so if you do have another dog in the home they’ll need to enjoy rough lurcher play. He can also live with children, provided they’re dog savvy and know when to give him space while he’s figuring out his new surroundings.

He’s also a young, active boy so whoever takes him home will need to be able to appropriately exercise and enrich him.
