Everyone, meet the latest cutie to join the family; Stanley!

Stan came to us from the pound as part of a welfare case. He’s got quite a few battle scars from his old life, and he clearly had a difficult start in life before coming into rescue. The good news is, the tough days are now in the past and Stan is now more than ready to start looking for his new forever family. 

Stan gets quite stressed and lonely in his kennel, so we gave him a lurcher buddy to share the field and yard with. He absolutely LOVES his new friend, and introducing him to dogs has been a total breeze. Stan is a dog lover and would definitely love to have another resident dog in the home to show him the ropes and help him ease into his new life. He does play quite rough with his mate (as lurchers do) so if you have a dog already, we think they’d need to be a dog that enjoys racing around and a bit of rough and tumble. 

Stan really loves people and has bonded quickly with the staff here at CCGT. He’s an absolute cutie and a really good cuddler! Homes with children will be considered, and we think he’d do best in a home where people are around a lot. He’s still only a baby and has been through so much already, so whoever takes him home will have to be committed to him and stand by him as he finds his feet in the big, wide world.

Being a young lurcher, he will need to be appropriately exercised and enriched every day. Active homes with people who like long walks, adventures out and about etc would be ideal for Stan! 

We love Stanley here, he’s just a classic cheeky little lurcher with a lot of love to give. If you’re a loving, active home with a lurcher sized hole in your heart, Stan could be your guy!
