Meet Theo! Now this gorgeous boy is just FULL of character. Theo joined the Sun Valley family in October and quickly had us all besotted with this gentle giant. It was quickly understood just how much he adored people and having a cuddle. We feel Theo would thrive as an only dog after we realised how he struggled to share a tight kennel space with another large male, which is completely understandable. Theo is a sociable dog who has met various breeds of dogs offsite, and does enjoy the company of dogs when out and about. He is a lovely dog, who could go anywhere with you, pubs, coffee shops, pet shops… he would thrive having all that attention! Despite his size, Theo really is a Big Friendly Giant, who simply wishes to spend all day being cuddled and fawned over.  

Theo along with all of our other kennel hounds recently spent the day at West Wittering beach, and proved just how bombproof he is; This boy is just such a treasure.

As mentioned above, we do think Theo would show signs of jealousy in a home with another dog, so its our preference that he is homed as an only dog. Theo has spent his life as a racing greyhound kennelled alone for the majority of his career. It is really common for jealousy issues to arise over luxuries he’s never experienced before i.e toys, treats. Theo did arrive at Sun Valley with some dog inflicted wounds, which we believe to be part of the reason he felt uncomfortable and defensive when sharing a kennel with another large male. Due to his loving nature and eagerness to meet other dogs when out and about, we do feel in an experienced home, Theo could be homed with a calm female but we know Theo would not be comfortable being homed with another Male.

We truly cannot stress what a love bug Theo is, he would be such a joy to share your home with. He’s a dog you could make some fantastic memories with, be it going to pumpkin patches in October or Christmas Grotto’s in December. Theo would thrive as a member of your family and could join you anywhere, he doesn’t suffer with any confidence issues whatsoever.
