Meet Kiwi, a gorgeous, shy little lady who has recently joined the family!

Kiwi came to us from the pound as a very, very nervous little girl. It’s obvious she has trust issues with people and hasn’t had a great start in life. However, once we introduced her to a few dogs here at Sun Valley, her whole demeanour changed and she instantly turned into a fun loving, cheeky little lurcher! We 100% think Kiwi would do best in a home that already has dogs, as she really needs help with her confidence and other dogs seem to really do the trick.

With a bit of time, love and consistency in her new home, she will absolutely come out of her shell and will be a devoted, loyal companion who will really bond to her family. She just needs patience and time to get there. Kiwi could totally live with a calm family with children aged 10+, who won’t smother her and expect too much from her as she finds her footing with her new family and navigates the big, wide world. Children will need to understand that Kiwi needs space as she settles in to her new life, and will have to be patient until she decides she’s ready to totally fawned over and be the star of the show! There’s absolutely zero aggression in Kiwi, just nerves, and we feel that given the time and space to gain her confidence, she’ll totally flourish. We’ve already seen such a big difference in her confidence during her stay here!

If you’re interested in Kiwi, and feel like you’re the person to bring out her secret goofy side, please do hand in an adoption form to get the ball rolling.
