Meet Dappy, an adorable, goofy and lovable greyhound who joined the Sun Valley family in April 2023.

Dappy is full of life and personality; he loves nothing more than a good cuddle with the staff and volunteers at CCGT, a run around in the field with his kennel mate, and then a good roach on his bed after having a nice treat. He’s been brilliant with the two females we’ve paired him up with during his stay here, one was a nervous female greyhound who relied on Dappy for confidence, and his current kennel mate is an energetic young lurcher – who he’s been patiently teaching manners to, and plays with her fantastically. We think Dappy would love to have another dog for company in his new home, but would be perfectly content as an only dog.

Dappy has nothing but love to give, but he is fairly bouncy, and given his size there’s a chance he could knock a small child over. Because of this, we’d rather home him to someone with older children, who are confident with larger dogs. 

He certainly keeps us on our toes here, as he loves to run off with mobile phones, earphones and whatever else he can get his paws on – so be prepared to keep your possessions out of Dappy’s reach! 

Dappy is such a lovely and funny boy who is more than ready for his forever home, and whoever takes him will certainly have so much fun with him!
