Meet Bowie; an absolutely stunning, friendly and totally loveable boy who has recently joined the family!

Bowie is around 3 years old and a real mix of breeds; we think he could potentially have pointer, collie, husky and/or greyhound in him. He is an absolute stunner, with the most gorgeous coat and one ice blue eye! He has been nothing but a dream and a total sweetheart since joining Sun Valley. He’s so affectionate, calm, loving and trusting. Don’t let the stern look fool you, he’s a complete softie. He has a kennel girlfriend, who he plays with absolutely amazingly, even though he’s double her size and weight, he lets her win every play fight! He has been on off site walks, including sighthound walks where there can be as many as 40 dogs walking together at the same time. 

On these walks, we’ve found that he does get pretty excited and enthusiastic to meet all of the dogs and people. He doesn’t always realise that other dogs aren’t friendly like him and don’t always want to say hi. He is also very strong on the lead, so his potential new owner will have to be strong enough to walk him without getting pulled around. Lead pulling / over excitement to meet every dog and person he comes across is easily remedied with consistent training, and his new owner will have to be willing to put the time and effort into a young, smart boy who wants to be enriched and challenged. He could absolutely be a family pet, but with older children who won’t get knocked over by him when playing. 

Bowie is an absolute dream, a total gentleman with a heart of gold. In the right hands, with a family who want a dog that they can train and put their love and commitment into; he will be an absolutely smashing pet who will be totally adored by everyone he meets. He’s already a Sun Valley legend who has completely stolen the hearts of everyone who has been lucky enough to meet him!
