The type of home i need.
Copper an absolutely gorgeous young lurcher, we believe he is a spaniel/ saluki cross. This lovely boy came to us from a local authority pound after he was found as a very worried stray. He has come on in leaps and bounds since joining us here at Sun Valley. He is very affectionate and very intelligent young boy.
Copper would like a quiet home with no young children, preferably with another dog already in the home so he can have a friend to gain confidence from. Copper has interacted well with all of the dogs we has met since being at CCGT. He can be a bit unsure of dogs who play rough on initial meet so would like to live with a dog who doesn’t play too rough until they get to know each other. Copper still needs some training as he can pull on the lead when out on walks. Copper is very food and toy motivated which makes him very easy to train. He also loves tennis balls so will be a fab play mate for games of fetch.
Copper can be worried by new people on first meeting, but quickly warms up if he is allowed of relax and interact with people in his own time. Due to the traumatic start in his young life he can be head shy with new people and doesnt like to be stroked on the head untill he has relaxed with people. Once he gets to know you Copper is an extremely cuddly boy who loves to get in your lap. Any adopter would need to be prepared to do a few visits in order to make sure Copper is comfortable with them.
This lovely boy will make someone a fabulous pet for some looking for and intelligent boy who would thrive and enjoy long walks and even something like agility or flyball. If you feel like you could give Copper his forever home then please get in contact.
