Robbie is a wonderful 6 year old, large, male ex racing greyhound who is looking for a sighthound experienced family to love him and introduce him to the world outside of kennels. Robbie absolutely adores people, he is always happy to greet people and has almost no worry around strangers. He is happy to greet everyone with a wagging tail and is always excited to greet staff and volunteers everyday. Robbie could live with dog experienced older children (15+) this is mainly due to his large size and because he can get bouncy when excited. 

Robbie also loves toys, he always has a kennel filled with his favourite toys. Robbie shows no guarding behaviours toward people with is toys or treats and will happily allow you to remove them if needed. He is incredibly clean in his kennel and will always wait for outside access before going to the toilet, this makes us feel he would easily pick up house training with basic training and positive reinforcement. 

Although Robbie loves being around people and is very happy to be around other greyhounds whether they are male or female, he does struggle to be around other breeds of dogs. With training in kennels, Robbie is learning to ignore other breeds out and about without reacting. Due to this Robbie would need to be in a sighthound only home with no regular non hound visitor to start with, he would also need to be muzzled out on walks to allow him to safely socialise.
